Everyone is a GENIUS!

In Stage 3 this term we have launched the Genius Hour program. Genius Hour is simply giving students the opportunity to learn for the sake of learning. In short, each student has posed a question which they will spend one hour each week for the next 6 weeks answering. Each student provided me with a proposal which included specific learning intentions or goals. Everyone will have something to present by Week 10 to show what they have learnt. For example, Hayley will create a model of the human heart, Brock would like to make solar panels that will warm water and Chaye is designing a curved skate board ramp. We have students who are building instruments, models, sport equipment and dioramas. Others are making perfume, origami, lego or model car engines. Some are baking or setting up their own blogs.
